What do you see when you look in the mirror?

Do you look in your mirror? Do you even have a mirror? I used to not have ANY mirrors. I hated mirrors. I didn't want to look in the mirror, because I just didn't want to see myself. I didn't want to know what I looked like to the world.

What makes you think I don’t own a mirror? Every face that ever looks at me tells me that I’m ugly. But every time I make them laugh, I get to show them what beauty really is.
 ~ Jarod Kintz

I have believed I had flaws.
  • My nose is too big.
  • My lips are too thin.
  • I have... FRECKLES!
At many times during my life, there were other factors that made me avoid mirrors. Life just wasn't going good. Bad things happened. Work, relationships, whatever... thing... interfered with me finding beauty in my looking glass. But things got better. And those things got better when I felt better about ME.

It's not easy, this self evaluation in the mirror thing. It's downright HARD. And painful. Excruciatingly painful. We are taught to look for the flaws. We are conditioned to find the thing that is wrong.

Look in your mirror. Find one word to describe what you see.

The beauty in MY looking glass is..... self-confidence.

What is the beauty in yours?
